Anyone have one of these or have any opinions about them ?

British company and seems to fit the b ill for a multipurpose bike for road and mild off road and audaxing on rough old country lanes.

I would need to ride one or at least sit on one and know the weight before buying one.

If they would throw in a roll of black bar tape to replace that disgusting blue stuff it would help clinch the deal.

Nothing special and seems a bit over priced to me. I would prefer a steel frame on a bike like this.

There are plenty of other similar models out there if you cast around.

A similarly speced 2018 Cannondale is £250 cheaper from the same seller.

I spotted that one Vickster. Not much about the bike just people commenting that the frames are made in taiwan which is almost inevitable. At least some brit folk get to assemble them.

Fair enough. Personally I'd go fir a high spec used Croix de Fer

Do rather shockingly agree with you on the black tape!

It does seem a bit hefty price for a tiagra groupset bike. I quite like the Pinnacle Arkose range in Evans as a similar bike.

Wont be buying for a few months yet ,I keep short listing bikes then deleting them off the list later. I would prefer not to have a press fit bottom bracket so the Shimano hollowtech on the Orange is one plus point.

I love the looks of the orange cx bike (agree with the rancid blue bar tape though)... but all the reviews i've read say it's a very average bike. Good job really otherwise i'd have bought one, and no matter what anyone says, i really don't need more than one bike.

Not really - it may have been before the Brexit referendum result caused bike prices to go through the roof. But £1500 is fairly common for Tiagra equipped steel/aluminium bikes and £2000 for carbon framed ones. Here's a couple of good looking Tiagra equipped Genesis models to salivate over:
