Very basic groupset for £600, you’ll get better at Decathlon, Wiggle, Merlin etc

Cyclesurgery have some bargains at the mo in their clearance

No personal experience, but looking at the spec I think there's better out there for your money.

Edit: forgot to do some recommendations but @vickster already has covered most of them. Boardman would also be worth a look.

I wouldn't press the button on a Boardman as they are often reduced in the Xmas sales. Also if you spend £37 (IIRC) on British cycling membership, youll get 10% off at Halfords on bike stuff for a year (and other indispensable benefits like legal cover, 3rd party indemnity etc)

My local BSO is an Orbea dealer. You pay for the name with Orbea.

Nice bikes, but as said above you can get better for less, but you don’t get the street cred.

A bit like buying a Skoda instead of an Audi.
