Been there - although I'd recommend using some sort of loyalty points to go (Airmiles/Nectar/Tesco) since it's otherwise VERY expensive.

Mostly it was men/women playing with diggers, even on the kid's birthday party event I went to at Diggerland Castleford. The kid's were happier watching and playing with small things.

It's worth going once just for the experience.
