The "Family" team is Spurs so I do just look to see how they are getting on but I do not follow football really.

A Glaswegian girlfriend told me that if I (as a softie southerner) found myself in Glasgow and was confronted by the question "Celtic or Rangers" (with the presumption that you will be beaten up if you give the "wrong" answer) that you should answer "the Jags", as neither would then see you as the opposition or be worth the beating as Patrick Thistle are considered so far beneath, so you are saved from being duffed up.

That has sort of stuck with me and I tend to like the underdog so do just have a quick look at the results and am pleased if they do well.

Brighton(since 1966) Manchester United since I moved to the South Coast
Scotland-Raith Rovers
Ireland-Ards
Italy -Inter
Spain-Valencia
Argentina-Newell's Old Boys
Fixed your typo, Billy.

No shame on you for not recognising the shirt, they haven't played since 1893. ;)

Not a huge football fan but Bradford City first and I have a soft spot for West Brom and Walsall after living near to both clubs for some time. I lived close to Villa Park for a while but it never had the same effect on me.

Keighley Cougers for rugby league and I'll always watch the NRL games as a neutral given half a chance.

Cricket would be Yorkshire but I only have a passing interest in it really.

British cyclists and triathletes as well as team sky. I have to admire the great performances of all, even Vino. I tried not to be a fan with the ban but he's got that agressive style and mental toughness to back it up which I can't help but admire.

I like the extreme end of the ultra endurance athletes from cycling and runners too such as Joss Naylor, Scott User10571, dean Karnazes and that bloke in his seventies who won a quadrouple ironman in Mexico outright (racing an ironman each day for four days in this case).

I also like supporting any team that is playing against Man City just to wind the Blue's fans at work up

Looks like Stockport may stay up this season.

My main team is Barnet FC. Does not look good for us at the moment.
I have followed the Spurs for nigh on 45 years,
Cockfosters Cricket team. I used to help the scorer on Sundays when I was at school.

.....always like to see Stenhousemuir win too

They've more fans on here than they get at some of their home games  - there's a supporters club in Norway(Oslo) and Denmark too!!!!!

I live a mile away from Ochilview(Stenny's Ground) that they share with McCowans Toffee - makers of "Wham" bars and those "Penny Chews" we all ate as kids. They're Falkirks second team behind Falkirk FC but in front of the lowly East Stirling FC.

They're very good with all the local kids, producing quite a lot of talented players - that they sadly lose for a pitance when the big clubs come calling.

If my memory serves me well I believe there was a Stenhousemuir supporters club in Gloucester once, there may still be for all I know. I seem to remember reading about them somewhere or other.

Just done a quick google to see if I could find out about a supporters club, couldn't really find anything definitive, but they do say on their facebook page

"Our friendly open relationship with all of our supporters local and further afield. They are the heart of the club whether they be in Stenhousemuir, Gloucester or Oslo!!"

So maybe there is a Gloucester branch still. I'm not facebooked up so can't look further.
