cringing a bit now. however if you want a painful piercing consider getting your conch done (Google it, tis work safe) i went in thinking it would be pretty ok, like my other piercing on the top of my ear.
it felt like bees were stinging my ear whilst small insects burrowed into the cartilage for about 24 hours. then it died back to a minimal burning sensation and took 3 months to heal! any knocks in that time and i jumped like i'd been shocked.
no issues now like but ouch. i should have read up on it before hand rather than just frivolously and somewhat impulsively running out and getting it done.
heck if that goes all the way through your hand stick a ring in it and call it an alternative body mod piercing.
