My wife's part of this association. And the paper, although her work focuses on sarcopenia (muscle loss in the elderly).

Naturally, although I'm not yet 65, I'm following her advice:

I'd recommend anyone over 65 to search out something like these two for afternoon tea ….well, maybe not both on the same day. But, hey, you know it makes sense.

The basic diet of my 93 year old father & he doesn't do bad on it

There trying to kill you off, and save paying out the pensions, I will stick with what i eat, although the odd fry up will still get eaten.

My Grandad used to put clotted cream on his cornflakes! He also enjoyed lots of home baked, full fat cakes and always had a box of chocolates on the go. He was active on the Farm until 81, when he was diagnosed with cancer and died a year later. On his last check-up at the Doctors, he was told he had a blood pressure consistent with most 45 year olds. I think there is something to be said about eating well and being as active as you can.
