What's the best ones to get to spend all day on the bike? Up to about the hundred pound mark

If your willing to go a little higher in price Rapha are having a sale and their classic bibs are now £125 instead of £165

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Thats a loaded question i am afraid. What suits one person, won't be liked by another. It's a bit like what saddle. Sometimes its down to trial and error. I have tenn shorts costing £15.00 and flab costing £70.00 and to be honest i prefer my cheaper ones. The padding is better and more comfortable.

I have heard that Rapha are good as well. Good luck finding the ones that suit you.

Tried many types, but shorts from here suit me best: https://www.lapassione.cc
Sale on at the moment. They use the same pad as Rapha but are longer in the leg which I prefer.
eta just did a day in the Alps of 118 miles/17,000 feet and they were still comfortable at the end.

Ones that are comfortable for you. Is your saddle already spot on for you for long rides...if not, no padded bibs might fit the bill

Evans have loads in their sale currently if you have a store closeby to try on

I've got some Decathlon B'twin 700-series bib shorts that I got in their sale and have quite happily spent all day out on the bike in them. I think they cost about £25 - although the RRP is under £40 so still great value.

Review here

I've been tempted to splash some cash on a 'premium' brand but it's difficult to justify spending any more.

Have always used Castelli thought they where the best ever, but have recently bought these. https://www.provisionclothing.com/shorts-skin-suits/edge-shorts-red.html

I've done over 75 miles in FDX ones for under £20. The ones with the gel pad not the foam pad. For example, on Amazon. As others have said, sorting out a well fitted saddle made the biggest difference.

Castelli are the best I've tried up to now.
The x2 pad is brilliant. Did 12 hours in the saddle on the coast to coast and the only bit of me that didn't hurt was my backside.
