Sorry, but ....
I had a joiner in not long ago, to fit 10 (!) internal doors.
He had all the gear (OK, he was not using a sander, he had a circular saw, but still had his extractor with all the bells and whistles) I had to wash down every single surface in the flat, still the dust was coming down days later.
Last summer I had a new kitchen fitted.
The guys cut most of the stuff outside, were using an industrial Henry Hoover with dust extractor for the work inside, still the dust kept coming down days later.
Your statement does not negate the fact that decorator's dust stays around for ages, ime

Thats why I cut outside. Having recently done two laminate floors. Probably should have had a few more weeks in between doing them as MDF dust is terrible. Gets every where, including inside you.

We once had an internal small wall removed. My word the dust was bad.

Parents always cut an onion in half and left it in the room. I can't recall if it worked, though, as my dad was a compulsive DIY-er and was always painting or fixing things. Did the work of two people around the house. I do the work of none, so on average\, we're good.

Looks like Christopher Biggins has moved in!

 That's the colour she wanted.......... In fact, she was after a more 'barby' pink, and the very kind lady selling the paint 'steered' her towards something a bit more acceptable . It's great paint though. During the Summer, I had to carefully time its application, because the door faces exactly due South, so after any chance of moisture had gone, but before the sun was shining on the door - and late afternoon and quickly so no late moisture got to it in the evening. I swear an egg could be fried on it in the middle of the day.

And that's what really matters.
We all BS a little to make life easier, I think

Indeed. 3 of them today getting stuck into the bedroom. Until bad health hit me I used to enjoy decorating and years ago thought about doing it for a living.......so i have to be careful not to be picky over his work. Having said that I pointed out 2 things I wasnt happy with, no problem-no excuses, just quickly sorted them out.
