Ever come across John Woodcock? He was an old friend of mine from the time I worked at Art School...he was a quite respected craftsman - as you. Nice work.

I'm sure @Fnaar would know something about 'coming across Woodcock'.

Thank you. No, I don't know him. I'm self taught, just from books and experimenting.

That piece was completed with a dip pen (well, two - one for each colour). The scary bit is dipping the pen and then moving it across the paper without it dripping! I breathed a big sigh of relief when it was finished.

The paper is yellow, although I have made good use of the light to give it an alternate appearance - you are in the presence of a genius

Ah. JW died in 2011 - I obviously went and 'had a look'. Bought a book of his as a consequence, second hand from Amazon (£5.45 - a bargain) and replacing one from my collection of odds and sods.
