Pair of 1980s steel framed bikes

    i ride a 23 inch bike with an inside leg of 30 inch it can be done but the handle bars are set up a higher than normal and cycling shorts are needed and toe clips are not recomended as i found out infront of a pub beer garden to my embassesment

    Nice gift,I'd recommend keeping them tubular and use them on nice shorter sunny day rides;will be nice rolling up at the cafe stop on those.

    Bit of a thread resurrection but finally got round to doing up the Elsworth. Can't take the credit - all work done by @Almartino . Decals still to go on.

    Glad to hear it. I'm completely with Raleighnut on this. If someone gifts you what was clearly a treasured possession, they did not do it just so it could be turned into cash and spent on something else!. Those that suggest selling should wash their mouths out. It's completely rude and disrespectful to the giver to do that sort of thing.

    Gorgeous paint on the Ellsworth. Old paint wasn't too bad either. Is that paint or powdercoat. BTW you might try moustache bars which results in hands being higher and further back than road bars.

    A few years ago, I was given a Dawes Fox with a 23'' frame by a lass who used to ride it; she was 5' 2'' - ! :rofl:
