Mine are quite thin and delicate, almost like a small Crepe and certainly not tasteless with Sugar and Lemon Juice :hungry:
But they all have that spongy texture (Ethiopian bread is similarly bleurgh)

I made these yesterday instead, as I wasn't in the mood for pancakes...

They're called "favorki" - and a Polish tradition for this time of year. Basically, a pastry made with flour, eggs, cream and brandy, cut into strips and then deep fried. :hungry:

Pancakes two ways in ours yesterday. The kids prefer so-called 'American' pancakes, which is my department so I whipped up a batch for them. Wife and I like a crêpe which is her speciality so she ran a few off for us. An embarrassment of toppings was made available for use on/in both types:
  • caramel sauce
  • banana
  • strawberries
  • raspberries
  • blueberries
  • hazelnut chocolate spread
  • Biscoff spread
  • golden syrup
  • maple syrup
  • lemon juice
  • granulated sugar
I think over the course of the feast every item was used at least once, either alone or in combination. Bread and water now until Easter.
