You've brought back some memories, I had them in the late 70's

You'll have to get your son some 'Top Trumps' now

+1 on all of that.

I will add that the design of the new stickers (I don't do them in my 40's) is bobbins compared to the 70's & 80's ones.

Remember getting a GOLD club badge ??

You could swap one of those for 20 standard players.

Used to do the player cards too & win or lose some 'skimming' them up to the wall at school (as close as poss).

Gone are the days.

Shame.

There was always playground talk about certain cards that were extremely rare and worth a fortune!
The Liverpool FC gold badge from the 1982 football one was rare as . I got one

Saw the World Cup sticker book in Tesco and got it for my 6 yr old . He loves it.

Friends of ours bough their son the "I Spy" Bicycles book

Then he came round and visited us ...... completing 2/3 of the entries in a couple of hours!

I still collect football stickers, mostly 70s and 80s stuff but also Euro and WC albums, amd not just Panini. And Topps football cards from the 70s
