I am a newcomer and have a ridgeback supernova(3 year old I think, bought 2nd hand)hybrid.i am having trouble finding a rear pannier rack that will fit without me adding homemade brackets to adapt.
The problem seems to be the v brakes get in the way.tried blackburn ex but also sits way above the wheel.would like a one with solid plate if possible to act as mudguard.
Any help appreciated.

Most pannier racks come with aluminium strips that you bend round the brake calipers to fit.

Topeak Super Tourist is a good one.

Good choice. I had that on my commuter and it was fine. The plate on the back for a light bracket is also really useful.
