I'll have to replace it, but for an adult with a degree I still find forms baffling, and struggle to fill them correctly. Last passport application for one of the children took I don't know how many forms and 3 tripss to the post office before it was accepted. Then had to renew another recently, and I did it online, still took a couple of attempts as I kept forgetting to save it, but it seemed easier.

But I know that puts me off filling out forms!

Hardly worth mentioning but the paper counterpart is still required in Northern Ireland ;)

That may extend to hire cars and the new online number bollocks, I'm not sure

My photo licence was nearing 10 years old a couple of months ago, so I was told I need to replace it - and, of course, pay for the privilege of doing so - stooped thing is they were happy to accept my old passport photo - which is 9 years old!
(Driving) Licence to pay money!
and yep I still look like a drug addict

That is weird - do your licences look different as I thought the 'United Kingdom' driving licence is for the whole of the UK? Looking at mine I have, UK written inside the logo of the EU stars. How would someone distinguish the need for NI to show a counterpart but GB not to?

Not sure. I do know that a lot of licence/vehicle services transferred to Swansea last year and DVLA local offices closed.

Basically, I could rack up 40pts in Wales tommorrow and my licence would be untouchable, until I apply for a Welsh one** And, we can't buy VED online for new to us vehicles, we have to produce MOT and insurance cert/cover note at select post offices.

** I think term is ghost licence, a 10yr old joyrider could be given 10pts, that only apply when a licence application is made
