Surely you realise that getting lost becoming positionally challenged is the best part of touring, and is almost obligatory.

Phillips Navigator Spiral bound atlas, laminate the pages you need bin the rest. Those you take, bin as you go, or mail home for sentimental reasons. You can probably pick up a 2013 edition in a discount book store that sells remainders.

It finally arrived today. Great map, just now need car maps to have cycle routes (such as converted railways) marked on them! thank you. I am now pouring over it working out what route to cycle down to South Wales in 2 weeks time when I should really be doing either the housework or some cooking. much prefer planning, though I do think planning with some chocolate chip cookies handy might also be possible - might have to go and do some of that cooking first!
