Parafin in chain cleaning device

I've got a chain cleaning device that uses that citrus degreaser but I keep losing all the degreaser ( fell over in bag and leaked out twice).
Is there any reason why I should just laod it up with parafin?

I use white spirit in a jam jar and shake well, but you have to take the chain off

What about Kerosene?

I'd say only use paraffin to degrease if you havea surefire way of getting the new stuf back in between the links on a non 'o'ring chain (EG soaking the chain in a hot grease bath)

There isn't a lot of difference between the two. Some people use Diesel.
