Park chainring tool

I've just received a new crankset from Ebay.
Wanted to get the bolts free. Locked solid. Screwdriver was absolutely no use - anyone who says it is has never tried rusted up bolts. This worked perfectly.
We are only talking about a fiver. I know cyclist are the meanest tightfisted buggers on the planet, but a fiver? Some folk can only see the price of something and not its value.

One of the advantages of SRAM cranksets - the chainring bolts are allen key fittings both sides (on all those I've had) so no special tool needed.

I have a Pedro's chain checker with a chain ring nut tool on one end.

I had to buy a new crank set for my cruiser because I needed to downsize the chain ring. [The original crank arm and chain ring were integral.] The new crankset arrived and I had to bolt the chain ring onto it. The slots in the nuts weren't machined properly, so the tool didn't do any good, but I managed to hold them with my fingers while I tightened the bolts with an Allen key.

It looks like it might be an improvement on the ancient one I've got, is the middle prong on it to stop it slipping?
Yes.
