Application has gone in. I asked the question to see if it would be seen as a cyclist "getting their own back" on motorists.
yes! Mwah ha ha. The people you submitted it to won't see it like that, just the motorist you slap a ticket on. Please do it while you're on your bike, film it and post it on here.

Do you describe yourself as a cyclist when applying for jobs?

Its a walking job, with the driving license required to cover the area.
Hence the disbelief at someone cycling in the area, willing to do the job.

I questioned the requirement for the driving license as the job is done on foot.
I have in the past stated my means of getting to/from work as cycling, where the work has been during antisocial hours.
This included one of 8 split shifts over 4 days(Friday-Monday), allowing me 250 miles of cycling during those 4 days.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Still can't see the need to mention cycling? Only whether you have a licence or not.

If he has to travel to different areas or districts, they would probably want to know how he would get there is he doesnt drive, so that is probably why he would have to give them that info. I don't think they stay in must one area. They move around

Offices are based centrally, but your own means of transport is required to travel to all the areas covered.
To do this, they feel you need to be able to drive there.

Is there not some kind of car insurance question there, as in using your car for business purposes?

Depending on the range/area you are expected to cover while in the job, being able to drive or not could be a factor. There are some near me who are purely walking wardens as they cover a few streets. There are then others who seem to cover the whole town, which ride motorcycles.

Good luck however

Changing the subject, a person can have SD&P including commuting to and from work. It would probably add a tiny amount to your annual premium if anything.
