Carbohydrate is the best source of energy in sportand exercise but there are many types of carbohydrates, so which type doathletes consume? Of the many various carbohydrate groups, they can be furtherdivided into two groups, low glycemic and high glycemic, but which one is morebeneficial to supply the body with energy for a competition? The purpose ofthis study is to find out which type will have the best effect on performanceand will it make a difference when a carbohydrate drink is consumed during arace?
We are looking for regular cyclists aged between 18and 36 to participate in this study. Participation will involve 3 visits to theuniversity within 3 weeks and participants will be required to consume a highand low glycemic carbohydrate meal before performing a 40km timed cycle trial. We will measure time to complete trials, heart rate, power, blood lactate andglucose. Please be aware that blood samples will be taken before and afterexercise trials (this is a small finger prick).
If you would like to participate in this study orwould like further information please contact,

Is that some sort of new language, because it certainly 'aint English.

So this is the standard of Universities today, and they're whinging about cuts to their funding.

It looks like a lack of proofreading to me, not bad English (or a copy and paste without checking that all the spaces between words have been included).

(and I think you mean "isn't English" or even "is not English", if you are being picky about language!)

Florence - why is the test limited to people between 18 and 36. Most of those consuming jungle juice for competition are in their forties and fifties.

And, if you're reading this, why not get in touch with Sigma Sports and the Kingston clubs (the Phoenix and the Wheelers) if you haven't done so.

Don't worry about the spelling police. PiS is very, very old and his arthritis is playing up.
