Dance floor tape. Bit wider than electrical tape, but same material so won't leave a sticky residue.

Otherwise known as 50mm PVC tape, which, when you ask for it in tool station, will get you fewer funny looks

Tape residue can usually be removed by using ordinary lighter fluid. Its great for removing Sellotape too - even from paper. It melts the glue.
