Pavement POB with a difference

On my way to work this morning. I see a person up ahead sitting (stationary) on a bike, on the pavement (next to a dedicated cycle track). But this pavement cyclist was different she had two dogs with her.

As I got closer, I noticed these poor dogs were on leads, and tied around her waist! I couldnt believe it. I expect it from a chav or idiot, but she didnt strike me as either one of these people. So I make an effort to obviously stare at her open-mouthed, then shook my head in dis-approval as I passed.

50 yards down the road, I stopped in a shop. Coming out of the shop and re-joining the cycletrack, there she is again, this time riding back to where I saw her originally, wobbling all over the place with these two dogs trying not to get under the wheels!

Im not exactly a dog lover, but I thought it was appalling! Im sure the RSPCA would have a few things to say to her!

I occasionally see a guy who walks his (rather large) dog by getting it to tow him along while he sits on a bicycle.

That's efficiency.

I take one of my dogs out on the bike, she is on her lead and harness and runs along side me, we do a 10k like this every 2nd day, this is along a cycle path at 6am so no other cycles or peds around. It's very good for them mentaly to travel fast beside their pack leader on a lead, rather than off. I'd not do it with my other two, the Greyhound would die at that distance, though she could out sprint me at the start and the rottie would drag me off the bike to go pee or snif a pretty flower. I do however have a pair of skate that I let him pull me along on, they are built and breed to pull so he loves it as he is doing what nature wants him to do. So don't see what she is doing worng, bar not making sure she is stable. I'd hope the RSPCA have bigger issues to deal with.

I take my Weimeraner with me on the bike sometimes, usually about 6 miles and not if the weathers too hot. Iv always got water for her and a little fold up bowl and she loves it, trots along side me on a lead and never pulls or anything-I trained her to know how she must behave "when Mummys got her wheels on!!"

Maybe it wasnt as silly as it first seemed.

Its just the way she had no balance, and the dogs had no idea what to do.
