To be honest the last thing I would do is open another account, they will link it ban him. They will link it through IP address, Security cookies on the PC/Laptop plus name and address. You might be able to have two accounts and them not to bother you even though it is against their T&C's but if one is suspended they will link them and then ban.

So how come I've been able to operate two accounts for the past three years?

I have 2 accounts also and have done for years.

Presumably they want your bank account details including logon info?

Have been with paypal for donkeys and never had a security check. Have had plenty for bank accounts I never knew I had.

I have used PP for many years as well. I have received quite a few of these EMails, always ignore them and never had any issues with my account. Usually forward them to PP security.

Make a small donation and see if the account is still active or give them a call - they are very good at answering the phone in my experience.

Paypal usually phone if there is a problem at their end and I phone Paypal if there is a problem at my end.

Have you ever had one banned or on hold/suspended? It is against their T&C's but it will only get flagged if something happens to one of the accounts. As I stated as long as both account are functioning without any issues nothing will happen. If you have cash in there at the time they will freeze that for 180 days. Begs the question why you would want two accounts..

I read Cyberknight post as he logged on to the website directly and never got an email, if this is the case it is not phishing. When PP want you to do something it appears straight after you login.

1 of my accounts is a personal account and the other is a premier account and they are both in my name and fully functional. I use 1 for purchases for me and the other one for purchases for my business (sole trader) there is nothing to stop you doing this. I have held these accounts for about 8 or 9 years.

I was just going to post you are allowed one micro payment, one personal and one business. But honestly if one goes they all go, I only use PayPal because I have to for one part of my business, If I had the choice I would give them a wide berth.

I had a similar problem. I selected an account but closed it a few weeks after, without getting the verification. I tried to add another account but it wouldnt let me (saying it was still waiting for a verification). I sent a message to the help team explaining the situation but didnt hear anything back. Then just recently I was able to add an account and verify it (not too sure what happened).
