Today's job was swapping over all daughter's PC internals to a new case. Original case is small and we had to shoehorn in a RTX3070TI and it's been over heating due to lack of space below the card. New case arrived today, significantly taller, allowing 4" of space below the graphics card. Immediate result of temps dropped from 50c to 30c (and lower) when just browsing. Case came with 4 ARGB fans, so we transferred 3 ARGB fans from the old case. 3 front, 3 top and one rear.

Ordered some additional 4 pin fan splitters as we ended up one short (super fast Amazon delivery due this evening) and then realised we couldn't connect the USB cable for the top case connectors due to the size of the graphics card so ordered a 90 degree low profile connector. Daughter also decided on a change to a white case from black.

Corrupted SD card out of my camera, it will have 6GB of images on an 8GB card

I only want 3 images off it!

I tried "Disk Drill" downloaded it and ran it, and it reckoned it had found all the images (1250 at 6.2GB) which sounds right. However its 'FREE' bit is limited to 500mb - and it wants £76 + vat for unlimited recovery. I would baulk at paying 76p for the 3 lost images.

anyone know of any "Truly Free" file recovery software ? or any other suggestions of how I can get these files recovered

Are you using a card reader integrated with the PC? Might be work also trying one of the USB plug-in SD readers, they're only a few quid on eBay.

That's really impressive. During the summer when it was a bit scorchio I purcased a couple of 100mm cooling fans and mounted them so they drew air over the heatsink of our domestic battery. Although for practical reasons they had to be mounted on top of the grille over the heatsink drawing air up, instead of below and blowing, they were remarkably effective ( lowering the reported temperature by about 10c.
I am now tempted to get some of these neon lit ones, I think Electric Blue would be ideal.
