The Goldeneye peak district map is absolutely excellent, 1:100 000 and laminated without being too bulky.

It accompanied me through 92 miles in the peaks today.

Here's the ride I did starting in Ashbourne. The whole area west and north is amazing....but hilly. No particular recommendations, just follow your nose out of Ashbourne on the lanes and you won't go far wrong, if you don't mind the hills

I notice you ended your ride in a place called Knockerdown. I hope the motorists dont take that too literally.

All off road but good surface, or so I'm told, I have yet to get there

I rode all three routes two years ago on my carbon road bike shod with23c tyres. No problems with the surfaces.which are pretty good. I did the rides mid week and it was fairly quiet.More walkers than cyclists.

Did all of these, plus the Manifold Track, one weekend about two years ago.
I didn't enjoy the Monsal and Manifold so much, as I was prodigiously hung over.
Derbyshire folk are way too friendly

Not overly enthusiastic about calling 'Time' either in my experience.

Too trusting, perhaps. However better to give the benefit of the doubt as opposed to quick cynicism, in my opinion. No harm was done, as far as I can tell.

Did the triangle on Saturday. Middleton to - carsington water - tissington - parcley hay- Middleton top.
Plenty of cafe, loads of views, hills and zero cars for me

That's the one I want to do, looks a bit steep just before Tissington gradients of 11%
