Tomorrow our club we will riding it's annual Santa ride, in aid of charity. We all dress up and have a sociable ride around the local area. This year Santa has a new sleigh. Another club member brought him round tonight, to try it out. I think he likes it. Wish us luck in the wind tomorrow.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun. We had lots of friendly beeps and waves as we were riding. We did 50 miles. Some of the hills were tough, but we took turns to pull the sleigh. The Bianchi belongs to hubby. It was already red, although it does match the sleigh rather well. I think it must have been a special edition.

My son and I joined our local Santa Cruise with his best mate whose Dad is a leading light in the UK custom cruising bike scene. Some amazing machines on display. Lots of happy kids and toots from appreciative motorists. We rode all round central Bristol, from the Millenium Square to Cabot Circus, thence to Temple Quay, back into the centre for brunch next to the Mardyke in Hotwells, thence up Jacob's Wells Road to the Suspension Bridge. Back down Park Street !

I felt a bit out of it on a "normal" bike but at least I had put some tree lights on it. A few vintage Choppers to stir happy memories. The banana bike was awesome.

Brilliant photos. Some really unusual looking bikes there. It makes our ride look tame in comparison.

not my intention - sorry if I hijacked your thread  !

It was somewhat "countercultural" for me as a road bike/commuter rider... but all about having a lot of fun on the bike. Happy Christmas !
