Or SPDs would do just as well. And J H Christ get some SPDSLs!
No, that's what he needs to take off.Or SPDs would do just as well.
You don't think the Cosmic Carbone 40s are not overkill enough already?
Sent you a PM, because I don't want to sidetrack this thread. No, that's what he needs to take off.

eek ... sorry ... never spotted that .... nice wheels
I think you must have missed out recent detailed post about people riding flats.
A lot of riders do very well riding flats.
They will be under the top coat.
Can I just point out the irony of being concerned about the appearance of a bike's colour scheme, when you have a Scott Addict with deep section carbons and flat pedals.
I personally dislike that green to the point that I would have avoided buying that bike in the first instance. However if I somehow ended up inheriting the bike then I certainty would not consider changing the frame's colour scheme which is part and parcel of the bike's personality and is coordinated with the saddle and bar tape. Instead, as others have indicated I would simply get some decent pedals and ride.
[Edit] Overall I still think the bike looks great [/Edit]
very nice bike .... don't worry about the colour etc ...
if I were to customize, first thing that I would look at is new wheels .... it does not need anything else
add a decent Garmin such as a garmin Edge 1000, ... go on long rides and enjoy the bike. I wanted one of these, and could not afford one
This thread is about the most important characteristic of road bikes - the way they look.
Performance, comfort, blah blah belongs elsewhere!![]()
Read the thread for an explanation of why he said this. Thanks .. if you have a moment what wheels would you suggest?
Fair enough .. but my clipless pedals are on my other bike still and no harm in getting used to a new bike on flats!
Thanks .. I felt almost the same about the green but got the bike for a bargain price second hand and so bit my tongue on it. I think you are right though, best to accept it and just enjoy the ride!
Thanks .. if you have a moment what wheels would you suggest?

Thanks everyone for the comments.

thanks ... I never realized that he has good wheels, but answering the question as to my recommendation:
I'm looking at getting a decent set of wheels for my S-Works .... it has a full Campy Chorus groupset with Campy Khamsin wheels ....
Some people have said that I should get Campy Bora (too expensive for me), or Campy Bullet (expensive .... £600 but half the price of Bora) .... some have said Zipp ....
I may look at spending approx £600 and most probably will look at a good used pair of wheels on ebay .... I will possibly get tubs and only use the wheels for fast rides
I'm not ready to get new wheels until March next year and will do more research while I save up. What I have learned so far is that some people say that using full carbon rims, you have a problem stopping when it's wet. If you do lots of steep climbing/descents, you need tubular rims and tyres .... etc etc so I have lots to learn
here is a good article written by a wheelbuilder that I stumbled across a few days ago and there ae some interesting points:
