Does what it says on the tin.
+1OsmAnd for me. Once it's on the phone, you don't need a data signal. The mapping detail is excellent, the amount of configuration options is astounding and the navigation aids good. I have used it to auto-plot a route when I had to change my plans on a small camping trip. It also records gpx tracks and you open tracks with it (so you can create a track/route on the pc and use it on the phone).
Please avoid for reasons in https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/what3words-geolocation.253987/ - you've only got freedom until you surrender it, then it's very very hard to get it back.What3words, gives you location in three words should you need assistance or need someone to meet you. Emergency services etc know of it.
