Photos!! Help!!

I need help!! As of today, I am am the proud owner of a Claud Butler Majestic. It has been roosting in a barn for Lord knows how long, but that means that it is good enough to retain its patina, just needing a bit of TLC.
I knew that as soon as I posted this there would be a wild clamouring for photographs. Rightly so!! But I don't now how!!!
I have spent all afternoon, drunk copious amounts of tea and used up my whole monthly allowance of bad language, but to no avail.
I have managed to download pictures from my phone to the "Picture Gallery" of my laptop. I have Windows 8-1. How do I transfer these to my CC posts? May I stress that where computers are concerned I am an idiot!! If you can help, imagine that you are talking to a three year old, (no, thats too advanced!!) I think you get the drift. Very frustrating because its going to be a very nice bike!

When you are writing your post, use the 'Upload files' button below the edit box. That should pop up a file selector box on your screen. Navigate to where your files are stored and click on the ones that you want to upload. You may have a problem if they are too big, but cross that bridge if you come to it!

If you press one of your Ctrl keys while clicking on your files, you can select multiple files to be uploaded at the same time, to avoid having to repeat this process over and over.

Phone pics are often quite big files. I edit mine to 800 pixels wide before I upload them and they look about right (to me) on screen when I post them.
You should have 'Paint' already installed on your PC, just resize them with that and off you go. More time to ride or fettle.
