Picassa help needed

anyone know how you can batch edit /convert images into thumbnails to upload to photobucket ? I know photobucket could do this but it would take a coon's age to convert 30+ 2Mb images

I thought you could save thmbnails in Picassa but I can't see how

How will that convert a 2Mb image into a thumbnail ? I'm looking for a batch editer really as I wouldn't want to try to process thirty huge images one image at a time

There's better stuff around, as amnesia has linked to but it does work. Just highlight all the pics to convert, put in the pixel size required (80 for thumbnails) and click OK. I just did a bunch of 13Mb files as a test, it was pretty quick, faster than my ACDSee software I normally use.

thanks I'll give it a try. I couldn't see how you could retain your original files. Probably have to duplicate them first.

No it leaves the originals in place, just double checked to make sure.

As a workaround you could try using the email option within Picasa. It will allow you to resize a group of photos so that you can attach them to an email - once attached to the email you could save the resized photos.

thats a good idea I'll try both options tomorrow.

I went to a heavy horse ploughing show today and took about 35 pics. Some excellent shots and I wanted to make some thumbnails available to the organisers in case anyone wanted them . I figured 175Mb would be a tad on the large side to upload to photobucket
