I'm sure mine has the frame number on it if that's what you're after?

Yes. My certificate doesn't have one so contacted Planet X and they said you have to find it and write it on yourself, even if that means some disassembly. Seems a little odd to me to say the least.

Frame number is usually at the bottom of the bike - outside and under the bottom bracket. Why do you need to disassemble it? Do Planet X have theirs on the inside somewhere?

If you buy a Koga. It comes with the serial number AND the name and signature of the person who lovingly assembled it.

You should be able to see your serial number. It wont be hidden.

The same with Planet X. The guys name who built it etc is on the cert.

I too thought I'd be able to see it. But no, they said they hide it for security purposes. They also said the owner has to strip it therefore they are the only one who knows the number. I think this is nuts as they are assuming a degree of competency to do the job yourself, or advise taking it to a LBS for them to do it, of course you incur the cost here.

That is nuts.

If it is stolen how do the police identify it. What is the point of only you knowing where it is and what the number is?
