I am not certain on the model, but maybe @vickster
If not, sorry, my mistake.

The thing is though, the frame itself is not supplied with a seat collar - so in principle whatever seat collar you fit could just as easily say something different like 5nm.

Cheers for that, but was hoping it was less. I'm having an issue with a warranty claim, but they are claiming I've over tightened. They fit the collar off my old frame & was hoping it had different. My torque wrench was set at 6 so unless that's way out it aint my fault

Surely it's upto them to fit the correctly rated collar. My collar says 7nm but was off a previous bike that also cracked. I was hoping they had just fit it without checking when it should have been a lower rating to give me a better outcome with my claim.

No. The seat collar is one of the customer spec options when you buy the frame (or bike). Or you can not specify one and fit your own. In other words, there is no particular recommended torque setting. Most seat collars I have ever seen are rated to 5nm. 7nm seems high by comparison.

Anyway good luck with the warranty claim, the last time I contacted PX about a broken part (one of the front mudguard mounts on my London Rd) they wanted the whole bike back in order to warranty a front fork.

They relented when I mentioned I'd waited 3 weeks due to parts out of stock + delivery to Norn Iron and offered me a silver fork, for a lime green bike xx(

TBH they were good with the first claim. A small crack on the down tube by the cable entry point & they replaced with a new RT80 frame, but after 2 months & only 500 miles they are not playing ball this time  I've replied this evening quoting the new consumer rights act "If you discover the fault within the first six months from purchase, it is presumed to have been there since the time of purchase - unless the retailer can prove otherwise."

So I'll see where that gets me, but still may have another ace to play :okay:

Wasn't the best of days tbh, car broke down on way home from way, peeing it down with rain & whilst waiting to be rescued I get an email saying their warranty team wont replace the bike
