I finished watching my boxed set of Dad's Army last night. This was one of my Xmas pressies.Cpl Jones got married and most of the lads came down to where he was guarding the Pier. They had some mugs and a bottle of bubbly. The final scene was set with a toast to the real Home Guard.I found it quite moving. It was like saying goodbye to a bunch of mates.
But the best thing is i can and will watch it allover again. After i have watched 'Allo 'Allo and The Likely Lads again.
It must be an age thing 62 and daft as a brush.

I'm 49, Dad's Army has always been a favourite of mine ever since I was a nipper.
Enjoying the reruns on Saturday evenings at the moment.
A timeless classic!

Dads army is class. I still see the occasional episode I haven't seen. The 'old farquar' episode is my favourite.

"Yes Mr Mannering"
"Have you done that?"
"What, recently Mr Mannering?"
