I had a 20 year break from cycling too. My bike was stolen from school in 1969 and I didn't get another one until 1989. Starting again was the best decision I ever made - I'd been getting so big and unfit that I'm pretty sure that I'd have died by now if I hadn't.

I think that might have been my first imperial century ride too; it was certainly one of them. I rode it 6 or 7 times in total.M/cr 100 by any chance?
