Not me (well not that I am aware of) the central heating. I went to turn on the outside tap under the sink and I turned the wrong tap, resulting in a loud banging noise and the pressure bar showing a reading of 2.5 it's normally 1 ish How do I resolve this, I looked at the rads and there isn't anywhere for a key but I turned what looked like a screw head on one of them and liquid came out. Advice greatly recieved.

You have filled the closed loop on the boiler.

look for a red knob in the boiler and turn it to release some pressure..
or do it with a radiator bleed nipple..which is the best bet as the realese valve usually leak after use..

Just get a jug and bleed off half a jug at a time..check pressure etc..

if you go a bit low just add with the tap you found ..

The pressure at the boiler should be between 1 and 1.5 bar but no more.Do the methods above and you should be fine.Actually, the filling loop should allways be removed and capped off, your case shows why this is done, you cannot over fill the boiler if the loop isnt there.
