I am just completely bemused by this thread. You do something wrong, you get picked up, you learn by your mistake. Most people would not have put their feet on the seat. What is so difficult about that.

Instead, we have an outpouring of victimisation and the claim that some crimes are greater.

The fact it is on your criminal record for a lifetime? Think it's pretty telling no other area in the country applies this punishment.

It's a Police caution, on your criminal record, not a warning. Google the term, it never disappears.

Merseyrail have had a few hundred people appear before Magistrates after feet on seats. A caution was mentioned, but not sure how that process works with railway byelaws.

No, admit it; you are trying to make a point about an entire region based on personal and bitter prejudice. When you have something worthwhile to contribute about the specifics of the OP, you may be taken serisously. Until then, you are just a nasty little troll with an agenda. And like all people called Gavintc, you almost certainly have BO and personal hygiene issues. Well I knew one that did so it MUST apply to you all, musn't it!

I'm really intrigued as to what heinous act of fraud you did to deserve this lifetime burden.

I was 17... had a VW Beetle and bought a Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR 3 days before going to Cornwall for a surf festival. didn't have the Nova Taxed so used the tax disk from my beetle!

Fingerprints and photo's (although probably more to scare me) and a night in the cells (was pissed when they arrested me).
