According to bbc news there is a concentrated stop and test from now until November 8th.
We are all aware of the need to be able to read a number plate from 20 yards/60 ft but have any of us actually been roadside tested ?
Be aware.....it could be you
NB
I had mine tested at the opticians 3 weeks ago.......I passed

I know I won't have the slightest problem. I wear contact lenses, and my eyes are checked annually. I know I can easily read number plates at much more than the required 25m.

Haven't seen any sign of any testing going on round here though (in Wales).

I once asked the optician if my eyes were ok for driving, and she said that I'd have to test them myself because she can't do it as the room's not 20m long.

Start checking motorists for cocaine in their blood as 'snorting' then driving is quite common these days! Checking eye sight is having a go at elderly and disabled motorists, trying to 'encourage' them to stop driving...in my opinion of course!🧐
