Police make arrests in Bristol and recover stolen bikes

They have arrested 5 op people out of a two gangs they had been following, and recovered lots of bikes

And they have been sent to jail, though the only report I could find after hearing it on the radio was the BEP one.

What a depressing collection of bikes in the Police photos - most of them neglected or ill-adjusted; there are only a couple of decent bikes that look well set up. Do people really ride around with saddles and bars at those crazy angles?

The crime causes misery to cyclists but is pathetic when you consider the tiny profits the thieves must be making. They ought to give up bike theft and get into politics or property development and local planning and make serious money.

I think the ones on the cycle path were bad because they were literally stopping them, beating them up, to get bikes and phones. I know it made me uneasy using the path especially when you met groups for a short while, and I didn't even use it at the times of day they were tending to attack.
