Poor popularity.

I have been watching the Giro on my laptop and must say that it doesn't seem to be as popular as the TDF by the public, judging by the lack of spectators along the route, except when going through towns and the finish. I though cycling was quite high up on the list of favorite sports in Italy?

Just seen the coverage from todays stage and the finish line has a flood underneath the commentary box.
