No reason to doubt it. There have been many theories about the origin of Celts including a distant link with the Indian sub-continent, one way or the other. Way back my ancestors arrived in Scotland from N. Ireland but I have no idea how they got there.

Not every analysis of DNA has delivered welcome results. DNA analysis on Moffat himself – a proud Scottish Borders man – showed that his ancestry was English. "We don't offer counselling for that," he said.

My ancestors also had a distant link with the Indian sub-continent.
They got here by BOAC. ^_^

If it was scotish it would be fried in batter with a Mars bar floating in the middle :-S
 
A lot of things in UK are German. The Royal Family, Christmas, descendants of Angles and Saxons, the language (except for the french bits). The English and the Germans are pretty close.
