A couple of weeks ago I was rushed into hospital suffering from Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolisms. I probably got there just in time because I was barely able to breathe by then. I read yesterday that about 1 out of every 3 people who are emergency admissions with PE don't make it!

And my positive thought is ... I'm back at home, receiving treatment, and well enough to sit up in bed and post on CycleChat!
We're glad you're back and in one piece!

That's another positive - we have Colin back!

I spoke yesterday to a client who has liver cancer which, after 3 or 4 major operations, has now spread to his lungs.

He's as cheerful as ever and looking forward to Friday when they make him sufficiently Radioactive so that he has to spend 7 hours or so in a shielded isolation room.

Wow - he needs to snuck off for a quick bike ride round Sellafield - they'll have a panic thinking radioactivity is leaking all over !

I was seriously humbled by some of the super-brave terminally ill patients that I met in hospital! They'd be moaning and suffering broken sleep all night long but still have huge smiles on their faces when their families came to visit the next day ...

I was hit by a car last night - a car passed so close that his wing mirror clipped my arm and I have a friction burn on the elbow from rubbing down the side of his vehicle. But I survived, kept completely calm, didn't start ranting when I caught him up, and enjoyed the rest of my ride!
That takes some doing - I would have lost the plot altogether! (PS I'm glad you are okay.)

Carribean Curry tonight - from the recipe thread on here ^_^ . It's been in the slow cooker from 7am this morning having prepped it last night before bed. We've chucked the cat's out as the aromas are quite 'strong'.
