My positive thoughts:
It is sunny, my gout doesn't hurt so much today, I love Arch, I am happy with life.

Well, today was sunny (dark now), I don't have gout at all, I love Night Train, and I'm happy with life.



(and it's only two days to the weekend, and being together again.)

I have just spent the day at the Road Cycling at Brands Hatch (the Paras), I have seen a whole manner of different ways to ride a bike, and I have seen an equally varied selection of bikes, heck, I have even seen tricycle racing today!

The point is, don't let the bas*ards grind you down and keep going regardless!

Hell yeah, my house is held together with silicon sealant and no more nails. I been telling myself for years that I'll get the roof properly sorted, but good news is that my awesome bodgery is holding together.

I have on more than one occasion been on rides with one legged cyclists, (two different people), and they were all stronger cyclists than me.

One guy used his prosthesis for a long ride, but when we all went for an evening walk to a restaurant, that included a woodland path with a nice flat surface, he took the prosthesis off (as it was uncomfortable to wear all the time) and scooted with his one foot, on his Brompton.

(Incidentally, on the same woodland path, a year later, NT first raised the prospect of us maybe one day being married.... )

My ex wife has a friend who is a one legged cyclist. She still has both legs but lost the use of a leg after being attacked at Glasgow Uni for being a lesbian.

Have been adjusting the positioning of the bars/saddle etc on my new SS build.. It's so comfortable now! Really happy with it.

I have a day and a half to work then I'm off for a week, I'm also sat here with good memories of last Saturday's afternoon out at Tropical birdland, me and the Mrs had a superb time looking at birds, walking into and through aviaries to handle and feed the birds, there were also birds flying round loose, I haven't heard the Mrs laugh so much for ages.

Im looking at a couple of tidy oldies on eBay as a winter road bike. I'm looking in the positive side when I think woman will make me sleep in the shed when I bring home my 7th bike. Got heat, light, kettle, radio. Im alright Jack.

Some ned-dish former neighbours moved, dumped their unwanted furniture in the common close because the council charges for uplifts .... and I've just sold it on Ebay
