His Agent received feedback from the Producers saying Archie was a little too camp.

Rocky's career as a shoe salesman started off ok, in fact he slipped into it no trouble at all. Eventually though, his boss started putting the boot in and poor Rocky felt like he was losing his very "sole". He's retired now, enjoying his pipe and slippers.
