TVC's actual job involves climbing into the back of a supermarket self-service checkout and then telling the customer what to do.

So the next time it tells you to "please replace the last item" - have a bit of patience as it could be TVC in there.

In a similar vein, accountpete's 1st job was as a ATM "Cashier", being a lightly built shortarse (at the time) he was ideal for the role. Nowadays of course, these cash machines have come on a long way, and accountantpete has a lucrative sideline to his day job in training the monkeys and small apes that are now used to hand out the money to you.

TB worked for a while as a lady's assistant in the lingerie department of his local M+S. He could never quite get used to reaching round the back of the more mature ladies to measure their chests and tended to close his eyes to avoid grazing his corneas on zips and buttons.

Archie_tect just can't keep away from ice cream vans. He doesn't actually like the ice cream, but he gets a delicious shiver down his spine every time he's asked if he'd like sprinkles.

Sweepea always has a plain cornet from the ice cream van, he's never had a 99 because he thinks flakes are a sign of bourgeois decadence.

TVC never has chocolate sauce on his cornets, much preferring Bisto gravy.

ACP does not like chocolate sauce on his cornet.

It makes it very difficult to keep in tune with the trumpets, and he gets told off by the conductor.

Speicher sits next to the leader of the orchestra, she's used to playing second fiddle.

TVC once sat down to write a classical music piece. He put a single note down on paper and decided to go for a bike ride instead. 20 years later he still regales friends (well, anybody that will listen TBH) about his great unfinished symphony.

TBM is still trying to get Halfords and WH Smiths buyers interested in his new SatNav system for IT phobic users.

He's called it a map, and is very excited about the marketing and business possibilities of his novel idea.

TBM writes a lot of notes for his staff. He is often at the Music Shop buying the correct sort of paper.

Speicher will sometimes spend a whole day conversing by only using lines from Musicals.

Her colleagues are sick of hearing that "the sun will come out...tomorrow", and anyway, who the hell is this "Oliver", sounds a right greedy little sod?

TB pushes through the darkness- still another mile... because, he has a dream.
