Postman's fed up of having to knock twice.
That is not far from the truth,i retired six years ago.But i remember getting into serious trouble over an airmail letter in my very early days.I misposted in an honest mistake on a walk i was covering.So when it came back i made it dead.It went back to Australia many weeks later.
It then came back attached to the hand of a Postal delivery manager and got me a bollocking from him.I had put it in next door.Instead of just taking round or giving it me back they wrote on it not known.It was my fault but the crap family would not take it around.So all the way back it went.i thought fancy having neighbours like that.
