I don't believe that your pampered sausage shaped cat will get that squirrel.
We have a black cat (in her last few weeks now sadly - but she is 19 1/2, so a good innings) who we affectionately call the black slug, because she more or less used to have the same general morphology when viewed from any distance. Always liked her food.
All joking apart she's getting on in years....think she's about 16/17 by our reckoning.Got her when she was a feral 3 year old from a sanctuary and she took an instant shine to my daughter !
They did say she wasn't good with kids....I soon found out she wasn't that good with anyone 🤣
She's quietened down quite a bit since then....sometimes gives me a cuddle, although only on her terms !
She's a born hunter, fighter, scavenger etc...live opposite a golf course that used to be her hunting ground, now she's quite happy to defend her domain in the garden,we've had the whole array of kills brought to us including squirrels and even a seagull to the horror of my partner !
Worst for me are frogs and toads as she tortures them....and my god have you ever heard the noise they make !
