Well the cat has a cat flap so can come and go as she pleases, so isn't likely do a heroic leap from 2 floors up

We had a cat flap in our screen door. It was perfect. For cats bringing small terrified mammals into the house

might as well have a cat flap ...
Wifey & I were upstairs reviewing photos for an event. my phone's camera app pinged a few times & at first i thought nothing of it. but I guess because of the time of day maybe? or the frequency of pings maybe I asked Wifey if she left the glass slider open. we don't because Rosie cat likes to tear at the screen & slide the screen open. we only make exceptions when we are down there & know she is napping. well she's a smart kitty & rather than see what we were doing upstairs she let herself out. Wifey went down & got her in. Rosie knew we would come after her. but she was out for for a good long while!
she got out & immediately gave chase to a chipmunk. no worries she didn't catch it & bring it in the house
then she was prowling around the patio. so happy she stayed close
then she waited for Momma to come fetch her
the videos & audio are very entertaining
