Queenie(tabby) and her mischievous sons

They're sort of free-range, in that they're not allowed in the house.
They do a good job on rat patrol, so definitely earn their keep.
Had Queenie recently spayed, but think she's forgiven us now - she did turn up as a stray after all.
Great to have them around and always entertaining with their antics.

Lovely!

Hope the boys will get their trouble puffs removed when old enough.

A little over a year ago we suddenly lost our youngest working cocker who was 10yo at the time to severe fits , last Wednesday we had to say goodbye to Ted our male who we owned from 8 weeks old, he was 12 and 2 months at the time of passing. I trained him myself and he experienced a fantastic working career. A fit strong all round working dog and utterly bombproof in everything and all things he was presented with(apart from disliking being put in a crate in the car). The family is utterly devastated as am I having spent so much time with him and developing such bond. He is leaving a huge gaping hole in the house and in our hearts.
We have left our oldest bitch who is half blind and fairly deaf. We worried she would be noisy in the house having never been alone in her life but she's proving to be chilled, we picked her up from her breeder around 12months old as part trained being too soft to trial. I don't think we have much long left with her as she was 12 in Aug just gone, however she is still fairly fit and strong so maybe I'm overly worrying in my moment of grief.
After losing the first we decided once they'd all gone we would have minimum 6 months before considering another dog. Within a day or so after Ted went my partner voiced she didn't think she could do that. To be honest I'm not sure I can, however I'm struggling to get anything done, I can't focus as my mind is wandering so much(this probably should be in the mental health thread also).
We have both dogs in urns in the living room hidden behind pictures of the family no pics of the dogs up atm as I still cannot face the loss of the first one.
I heard somewhere, your dog only sees the world that you show them.
