If you want weird, I was at a previous MRS and was just idly looking at a layout. This elderly chap suddenly appeared and told me, (as though I had known him all my life)
'See that platform? I stood exactly there (pointing) and took a picture of the station building there in 1963..... of course it is all a supermarket now, it closed in..... etc etc'.
Yes, very interesting, but just a bit random.
Oh well, at least it demonstrated that the layout was good I suppose.
