(where's the scratch head emoticon?) do I come across as a "young bloke spotter"?

I don't know, I only bought a ham and cheese or tomato or whatever it was Pannini and a Green Tea from you. I'd say no, but I don't know you for Adam. The fact that I also happened to be rather sleep deprived probably didn't help.:laugh:

I did have to admire your sign saying something along the lines of

'We give no change from £100 pound notes' ^_^

As long as you were one of the "had a shower this morning" guys, you're an all right train spotter in my books

Of course I had had a shower that morning, I'm not one of the  you know. :becool:

This will sound vaguely disrepectful, but when Cardinal Winning died, I went just to see his body so I could say I'd seen a dead person

I'm not a Catholic or anything, but I was curious by it all anyway.

So yes, I have seen a dead Cardinal.

I know someone who's had her cycling shorts washed by Mike Burrows.
And I've had a pee in Mike's workshop.
In the loo, I mean, not behind a lathe or summat.

Pat 5mph might have seen this, but Pete Waterman is a well known rail enthusiast and has his own railway model company called 'Just Like The Real Thing', which sells high specification models in the larger scales. He also produces music or something.

Anyway, he is always at Model Rail Scotland and other railway things, and, he is by and away the famous person I have seen the most. Seems reasonably friendly too.

I met and shook hands with The Queen Mother in 1986 when my brother was having his passing out parade with the RAF, and also with Prince Philip, some time in the early 90s, when, in his role as the Patron of the Cricket Club Conference, he attended a cricket match between the Cricket Club Conference and the Australian Services Touring XI at Brentwood Cricket Club (my club - I was assistant groundsman for the day). I also had the dubious pleasure of having my photo taken with Russell Grant on the same day!

I once photographed Pete Waterman at an open day at Crewe Basford Hall just after he had named a '47 'Guy Falks' (as you do) circa 1994.

The picture was crap
I'm also one of those railway people.
I :surrender: to the power of train spotting  never new bikes and trains have the same appeal.
Any "creative stitching" (hobby craft) frequenters on CChat? They buy a LOT of cake @ the secc!

I cleared tables at the Queen's garden party last year.
