So here's my history of GT's.

2006 GT Aggressor. I had a Giant Talon, but I was mugged by 3 men so my girlfriend bought me this as a replacement and I fell in love with it. I know it wasn't a great spec, but it rode like a dream:

My second GT was an '08 GT Tempest dirt jump bike. I gave it a go and wasn't very good, so I decided to sell it after a while.

Had a Kinesis Maxlight XC2 as my other XC bike, then went to road. Got bored of it, so decided to do XC. Seeing as I loved my Aggressor, I decided to build one, so here's my new project:

No idea of the year as I bought it used, but it's in great condition and I can't wait to build it up.

Planned spec is the following. If you or anyone has any better suggestions let me know.

SLX drivetrain; SLX 2x cranks,SLX Shifters,SLX derailleurs,SLX cassette 10 speed.
Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors.
Continental Racekings front and rear 2.0".
FSA Orbit X Headset.
Charge Spoon saddle or Specialized Avatar Comp.
Nukeproof seat clamp. [Have]
Ritchey WCS XC wheels (disc version) [Have]
One One riser bars in white. [Have]
One One Seatpost in white. [Have]
Halo QR Skewers in white. [Have]
Oury lock on grips. [Have]
Rock Shock Reba Dual Air 120mm [Have]

Nice, I'd do a lot to get hold of that frame again. I miss mine.

I had a Tequesta in 1990, and a Pantera in 1994 (I rode down to Brighton from Manchester to watch the tour on that)


But that was before the camera was invented so I don't have any pics I'm afraid.

Here's my GT Roadie..series 2 GTR..upgraded to Shimano 105 brakes and mechs and Fulcrum racing 5 wheels with Schwalbe Durano plus tyres

It’s a GT Grade 105 alloy, think it’s the 2015 model.

The view - I’ve posted it before on the “your ride” thread - was earlier this week when I did the “Five Ferries” route - that’s from the viewpoint on the A8003, just after the climb north out of Tignabruaich, looking down over the Kyles of Bute.
